24-year-old Franco Paltrinieri is living the good life traveling the world in his 1985 Volkswagen Bus, fondly named Clarita. Before hitting it off with Clarita, Franco was living in Buenos Aires and working in marketing. But with Clarita under his arm, he didn’t need a 9-5 job anymore.
Clarita now serves as his car, his house and even his job. Franco is not a chef but he decided to transform the van into a food truck so that he could travel freely while still making enough money to make ends meet. Franco sells “lomitos,” or Argentinean steak sandwiches made with traditional local liquor.
He writes, “Am I a Chef? Far from that. But had no idea about many things that I ended doing to survive and keep moving.”
